At North American Medical Authority, we provide streamlined medical practice
management and continuous marketing support, allowing physicians to focus on
medical-legal evaluations while we handle patient scheduling, billing, records, and
comprehensive training for success in the QME, AME, and IME processes.
Medical practice management
Physicians can focus on performing medical legal exams (QME, AME, or IME, SIBTF/SIF) and treating patients when they have a highly reliable and streamlined practice management company that provides continuous marketing, patient scheduling, billing and collections, medical record retrieval and summarization, and the never-ending myriad of back office functions.
Training physicians in medical legal evaluations
Most physicians who are new to the medical legal evaluation process (QME, AME, IME, SIBTF/SIF) find it overwhelming and a daunting endeavor that prevents them from undertaking the practice.
We excel in training physicians and taking them step by step through the QME certification process. We provide physicians with one on one continuous mentoring from the time they decide they want to become QME certified through the years of their growing medical legal practice. We provide them with pearls of wisdom and perspectives beyond what they acquire from QME writing or continuing medical education courses.
Marketing physicians for best success
One of our goals is to create and market the most confident and competent QME certified physicians who are best in report writing and provide utilizable and logical substantial medical evidence to support their opinions on all factors of disability. This helps us attain our other goal to ensure that our physicians are selected from panel QMEs. We market our physicians in their rightful place as the best in their specialties to referring attorneys, claims adjustors, and insurance company personnel.
Physician office placement for best success
We use proprietary algorithms to determine physician office placement for the best chance of developing a busy medical legal practice.
Medical practice management
Our expert physicians conduct unbiased medical-legal evaluations to determine if injuries are work-related, using substantial medical evidence. They receive advanced training beyond standard QME certification to thoroughly analyze injury mechanisms and assess if industrial injuries require treatment or lead to disability. Our doctors are well-versed in the AMA Guides for impairment ratings and can explain non-industrial factors that affect disability. Continuous training ensures our physicians produce accurate, comprehensive reports that meet the highest standards for attorneys, claims adjusters, and judges.
Many attorneys prefer using an Agreed Medical Evaluation (AME) over the random panel QME process, as it can be more cost-effective and timely for resolving workers' compensation claims. AME reports are typically more predictable, acceptable, and ratable. At North American Medical Authority, we take pride in being the trusted partner for attorneys, offering expert medical-legal evaluations that are reliable, comprehensive, and tailored to the needs of your case.
Our highly trained physicians conduct unbiased evaluations based on solid medical evidence to determine whether injuries are industrial in nature. With advanced training beyond QME certification, our doctors are equipped to analyze mechanisms of injury, assess treatment needs, and use the AMA Guides to evaluate impairment. We go the extra mile by accounting for non-industrial factors that may affect disability, ensuring that our physicians provide detailed and ratable reports that meet the highest standards of attorneys, claims adjustors, and judges.
Choosing North American Medical Authority means partnering with a team committed to excellence, precision, and timely results. Our continuous training and dedication to quality make us the go-to resource for attorneys seeking dependable evaluations that hold up in court. Trust us to deliver the expertise you need to succeed.
We have a highly skilled team of physicians who specialize in SIBTF/SIF evaluations, undergoing continuous training to accurately assess worker eligibility for these benefits. The evaluation process involves several steps: determining if a worker had a pre-existing impairment before the subsequent industrial injury, confirming if a new industrial injury occurred, and assessing whether the new injury caused at least 35% permanent disability or 5% disability to an opposite body part. Finally, our physicians evaluate whether the total permanent disability reaches 70% or more across all medical specialties.
Our pre-deposition and court preparation services help attorneys enter the courtroom with confidence, ensuring no detail is overlooked. At North American Medical Authority, we conduct thorough evaluations of your case, identifying any issues that may have been missed. Our expert physicians meticulously review all relevant medical records—including QMEs, AMEs, diagnostic studies, and more—to verify the accuracy of disability factors and ensure the case is built on solid medical evidence.
We provide clarity on whether the claimed mechanisms of injury contributed to the pled body parts, assess if impairment rating methods are properly applied, and ensure all non-industrial factors are considered. By partnering with us, you avoid the risk of being unprepared during depositions, trials, or settlements, giving you a strategic advantage and peace of mind.
Trust North American Medical Authority to help you present a strong, thoroughly vetted case, so you can achieve the best outcomes for your clients.
